Once a suitable capture preset and/or rate have been selected, initiating capture is simple. Users may navigate to the "Capture" section of the mobile app and press the "Capture" button to initiate data capture:
The Mobile App will now begin capturing, tracking duration, distance and frame count as shown:
Whilst capturing, the iSTAR Pulsar status LEDs will both pulse Blue to indicate this:
To stop capture, tap the "Stop Capture" button:
A notification will appear confirming that the capture has been successfully saved to the device's internal drive:
The iSTAR Pulsar status LEDs will both return to solid Green to indicate that the device is now once again at "Ready" status:
Users should be aware that when iSTAR Pulsar initially boots to ready status, it can take up to a further 40 seconds for it to fully synchronize all of the hardware. When first powering up iSTAR Pulsar, users are advised to wait for 40 seconds before initiating capture to allow the device to reach full synchronization.
If a user attempts to initiate capture before the device has fully synchronized, the lower "status" LED will briefly light yellow, and capture will not start immediately, although the mobile app will continue trying to initiate capture, and will do so once the device is in sync.
