    Hi Dean,

Just following up on this thread - we have now released iSTAR Pulsar+, which allows the direct download of capture data to an external drive for offline processing in our Immersive Studio software for Windows.

For further information on this, please get in touch with our Sales team via sales@nctechimaging.com, they'll be happy to discuss your specific requirements with you.

    Hi Jamie,

Thanks for the update. Does the Immersive Studio software you mentioned for iSTAR Pulsar+ allow me to directly upload to Google Maps Street View in GSV video mode after the offline processing?

Also, is a special version of the Immersive Studio software required for the Pulsar+? The latest version I see in the Support Portal is Immersive Studio V.9.1.1 For Windows - Dated 18th October 2017.

    Thank you
    Dean

No, Immersive Studio will output the stitched individual frames from your capture data, we don't currently provide a method of pushing that data to Street View but there are a couple of 3rd party applications that will allow you to do so.

Yes, there is an updated version of Immersive Studio for processing iSTAR Pulsar+ imagery, we're currently providing it to customers with that product directly.

OK. What 3rd party applications support processing the stitched frames from Immersive Studio and pushing the result to Google Street View?

    Hi Dean,

You can use GoThrough, Pano2VR to name just a few.

But you can of course use our VR.World platform to push direct to GSV without needing to process offline first.

    Jamie,

Thanks. Just some feedback though...that process is way too inefficient and time consuming compared to what I mentioned in my original post.

    Andrew,

I'm aware of the approach using VR.World. However, my original post was for an offline method like the one mentioned for Insta360.

Sure so we will be offering direct push to GSV via Immersive Studio following offline processing by linking your Google account via OpenAuth.

Is the plan to push to Google in GSV video mode or as a series of individual photospheres?

OK. Is it just a firmware upgrade or is additonal hardware required?

That depends on what unit serial number you have. Most units are fine and only require the firmware update which we can push automatically to your unit for you. Some of the initial units shipped last year will require a small hardware modification.
