    Keith,

I recommend using a second tablet not a phone. Trying to look at a tiny maps gets old real fast. We use a map app that also keeps track of where we have captured imagery in real time and colors in the map as we drive. We have also developed a system that automatically sends the routes we have driven to our server and to each of our drivers so that we can have multiple drivers who always know what has been driven and what is left on a large project. The data can also be tracked in real time in Google Earth by our schedulers. I'm always happy to share if anyone wants the details.

Hi Joseph – that sounds like very good advice. I'm using a CarPlay system in the dashboard so the 'second' screen I glance at is around the size of two smartphones put together. But in this case bigger is definitely better so I'll have a think about using a tablet. Thanks!

Keith -- I am happy to discuss the software we use and how easy it can be to set up as well. Feel free to reach out anytime. We are always happy to help our fellow photographers and grow our community.

I'm very interested and curious, thanks for the offer! I think there's no DM feature here but if this should be offline to prevent cluttering up the forum I'm thatkeith@mac.com.
