Users who are "on the go" may wish to upload data via public Wi-Fi hotspots, for example in a hotel or other temporary accommodation. This type of network often requires a user to enter a username/email and a password to log-in - iSTAR Pulsar cannot supply the additional username/email required, and as such it isn't possible to connect the device directly to such a network.
There is however a method of working around this by using a travel router which is WISP (wireless ISP) enabled - a user may connect their travel router to the public Wi-Fi network, and instruct the router to then output it's own network, requiring only a password to connect. The iSTAR Pulsar device connects to the network output by the travel router, and as such is then able to upload data via it.
Here's how to do it:
1. Connect mobile device to travel router via router control panel

2. Within router control panel, instruct travel router to connect to public Wi-Fi network

3. Within router control panel, instruct travel router to output repeating Wi-Fi network - this may come under an option named "Repeater" or "WISP". If in doubt, check with the travel router manufacturer

4. Connect mobile device to iSTAR Pulsar using mobile app

5. Add travel router Wi-Fi (here named Mango) to iSTAR Pulsar via mobile app

6. Move selector switch to the left - any queued captures should begin to upload using the public Wi-Fi network, via the travel router
