iSTAR Pulsar requires a continuous power source to operate, the device may be powered via one of the following methods:
Power supplied via Vehicle Ignition
- Insert the Car Adapter plug into the iSTAR Pulsar 12V DC in port
- Fully tighten the locking nut by hand to secure the connection
- Turn on the vehicle ignition
- Connect the Car Adaptor to the vehicle's 12v DC supply port
- Check the Mode Selector switch is set to Right
- Press and release the Power On Button
- Wait 2-3 mins for both LED Status Indicators to illuminate solid Green
- Users should avoid turning on the vehicle ignition while iSTAR Pulsar is connected to the vehicle via the car adaptor. Start the ignition and then connect the car adaptor to the vehicle's 12v DC port.
- Turning off the ignition will cut power to iSTAR Pulsar - as above, users should disconnect the car adaptor from the vehicle 12v DC port, restart the ignition, reconnect the cable, and then power up iSTAR Pulsar.
- Users who do not have a vehicle equipped with a 12v DC supply port may consider using an External Battery Pack instead. For more advice on purchasing an External Battery Pack, contact our Sales team.
